Responsibilities:
- As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing embedded software for various products. You will collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software and hardware, develop and maintain software documentation, and debug and troubleshoot issues with software and hardware.
- Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirement to production and commercial deployment.
- Design, develop, code, test, and debug system software.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers for interfacing with hardware design and development.
- Develop and maintain software documentation.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues with software and hardware.
- Analyse and enhance the efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
- Provide post-production support.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in the embedded software domain.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience working with LCD displays and interfacing with microcontrollers.
- Experience with PIC and TI microcontrollers.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Assembly and/or Python is a plus.
- Familiarity with software development tools such as compilers, debuggers, emulators, etc
- Understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
Skills:
- Strong programming skills in C or C++.
- Proven experience in microcontrollers and embedded systems design with primitive, multitasking real-time operating systems.
- Familiarity with debugging tools such as JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, etc.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
- Strong documentation and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
